Saint Rebekah Coptic Orthodox Church is based on the teachings of Saint Mark who brought Christianity to Egypt during the reign of the Roman emperor Nero in the first century, a dozen years after the Lord's ascension. The Coptic Church was established in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by St. Mark the Evangelist in the city of Alexandria around 43 A.D and adheres to the Nicene Creed.
Our church was named after St. Rebekah who was martyred in the 4th century, along with her five children Agathon, Peter, John, Ammon, and Ammona. Their intercession be with us all. Amen.
